For those people who don't know me, as well as making soaps and bodycare products, I also work part time at the Ffiws Makerspace in Dolgellau) {Arloesi Dolgellau).
Recently I have had many requests from people in Tywyn for my Bodycare, Candle and Wax Melt workshops. So I have decided that once a month, I will come over to Tywyn to not only do one of my usual workshops, but on the same day also present one of the sewing workshops I run in Arloesi Dolgellau.
In Arloesi, I call these Sew Something simple. For Tywyn, these will be called 'Simple Stitches' and will last up to 3 hours.
No previous sewing experience is necessary.
I will be bringing some fabric with me that has been donated but ideally you will bring something that you can repurpose (eg a quilt cover you no longer want).
If you look at the tote bag in the photos, that was made from a quilt cover no one wanted any more. By doing this we can keep the cost of the workshop down - plus you are doing something good for the environment.
We start on 18th May by making a simple purse/card holder from one piece of scrap fabric.
Starting price is £8 - some workshops will incur a small extra charge, but only because I have to purchase extra materials. But no Simple Stitches workshop will cost more that £10
These workshops are suitable for anyone age 11 or over, but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the session.
This workshop takes place at Ffiws Tywyn in the Station Buildings. LL36 9EY
